New King of Pop Docu in the Works?

Columbia Pictures has scored and paid large sums of money for the footage of the late King of Pop Michael Jackson’s rehearsals and preparations for his planned London concerts, according to new court documents regarding the musician’s estate case. And unsurprisingly, the film outfit is planning on making a new documentary on said footage and on MJ’s last days.

Under the terms of the deal, the Jackson estate will get 90% of the profits and and AEG will get the remaining 10%.

Columbia will guarantee a minimum of $60 million in return for the rights.
