A not-so-known author by the name of Jordan Scott is planning to sue “Twilight” author Stephanie Mayer for alloegedly plagiarizing the contents of her book and used it on the fourth installment of the Twilight series, “Breaking Dawn“.

Scott fired off a cease and desist letter to the publisher of of the book claiming the Twilight tale contains a “striking and substantial similarity” to her book, “The Nocturne”.
In her extremely detailed letter, Scott claims her book was published in 2006, a couple of years ahead “Breaking Dawn”, and it’s no coincidence that many of the scenes are almost identical. Some of the scenes she said includes:
a post-wedding sex scene
a scene about a woman who’s sick because she’s carrying a child with “evil powers”
a scene with the death of the main character’s wife
She also added that many dialogues on these scenes have a striking resemblance to what she wrote.
However, reps of Ms Mayer refutes the claim and said that, “The claim that ‘Breaking Dawn’ by Stephenie Meyer somehow infringes on an alleged book by someone named Jordan Scott is completely without merit. Neither Stephenie Meyer nor her representatives had any knowledge of this writer or her supposed book prior to this claim.”
