After a worldwide hunt for Tobey Maguire’s successor, Columbia pictures has finally found Andrew Garfield. At 26 years old, he will be playing Peter Parker/Spider-Man which is set to hit the theaters in 3D on July 2012.
“Though his name may be new to many, those who know this young actor’s work understand his extraordinary talents. He has a rare combination of intelligence, wit, and humanity. Mark my words, you will love Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker,” says director Marc Webb. Andrew Garfield recently worked with director David Fincher on the ‘The Social Network,’ and he also plays the lead male opposite Keira Knightly and Carey Mulligan in ‘Never Let Me Go’ which will be out later this year.
